Enya - Tempest is currently not available as a trial operative in any story mission.
Tempest deals very good AoE damage as well as single-target damage, can have excellent mobility, but needing to be at point-blank range to deal damage makes her extremely squishy, and she can be quite difficult to teambuild, especially if you don't have Vidya - Celestial Swan and/or Tess - The Magician.

If you have max U-Energy and have been using Tempest's standard skill for at least 2 seconds, then use Tempest's Ult.
If your standard skill has max Wind Power, then hold your Standard Skill to use it.Â

If you need to gap-close, then use Tempests dodge - don't ever run.

Passive Effect
Tempest's dodge turns her into a fast-moving Vortex.
This knocks enemies up, pulls them towards/into her, and deals damage.
This allows Tempest to group up enemies using her dodge, which can be quite useful for grouping strong non-boss mobs.
Tempests' dodge allows her to move very quickly, allowing her to have excellent mobility [at least in theory].
If Enya defeats an enemy, her next dodge is free, allowing her to quickly move between groups.
If any of Tempests skills hits less than 5 targets, it deals +37.5% Final damage per target less than 5.
This is obviously a huge damage boost against single-targets (i.e. bosses).
Standard Skill
Tap the Standard Skill key to have Tempest create a PBAoE vortex.
This knocks enemies up and deals good damage, whilst also generating Wind Power.
Hold the Standard Skill key to have Enya create a much larger and stronger PBAoE vortex. This can be sustained as long as Tempest has Wind Power.
Whilst Tempest is in either type of vortex, she can't be interrupted.
Tempest can move while a standard skill vortex is active, but she is extremely slow.
This very poor mobility can make Tempest extremely squishy, as the low range of her standard skill means she needs to stand very close to enemies, which makes it hard for her to move out of the way of enemy attacks whilst not crippling her own DPS by stopping her standard skill in order to dodge.
Ultimate Skill
Tempest uses all U-Energy to deal massive AoE damage based on how much U-Energy she uses.
Tempest's standard skill is so good against groups that her ult is best used against bosses, not groups.
The damage her ult deals is entirely and linearly based upon how much U-Energy she has.
For example two ults at 50 U-Energy deal the same total damage as one ult at 100 U-Energy.
Using Tess - The Magician to charge and use Tempest's Ult is often enough to one-shot many bosses, especially alongside a strong resistance-shredder like Vidya - Celestial Swan.
Once that initial burst is over, her dps does drop off though.
If doing this, make sure to use her standard skill before unleashing her ult, in order to get the buffs from her weapon/logistics.
2 seconds of standard skill use is enough to max all her buffs.
Support Skill
Tempest creates an AoE that carries operatives upwards, effectively acting as a raised platform.
Enemies are pushed back from it, and damaged the first time they touch it.
Like all main-DPS-ers, you really don't want to use Tempest as a support operative.
Amethyst Thorns
Her 5* weapon, and her best weapon.
Like most 5* weapons, the weapon increasing the damage enemies take is very strong, and is the 5*'s main advantage.
Swamp Snapper
Her 4* event weapon. Better than anything else other than her 5*.
For weapon Parts Enya wants max ATK.
Use Gleam squad - it was designed specifically for her and is her best choice.
For stats Enya wants +10.0% ATK and +106 Alignment Index.
For the Special talent, Enya wants +8.5% Kinetic Damage
Alignment gives her more ATK.
Since skills can't crit, and skills are the only thing she uses, crit [rate and damage] mods are useless for her.
She doesn't need S-Energy buffs, although U-Energy buffs are potentially useful to her - Not as useful as Alignment Index, but U-Energy Recovery is a good cope stat.
M1 gives +25% Skill DMG when equipped with a Kinetic Weapon (i.e. always), as well as +25% Wind Power gained.
This is a nice damage bonus, but also helps Enya gain a lot more Wind power, further increasing her damage.
M2 reduces the DEF of enemies hit during her Standard Skill by 5% for 2s, up to 20%.
Since Enya hits so often, she can stack this up to max in under a second, so it's basically just a 20% DEF reduction, which is good.
With M3, Enya's skills ignores 15% of the enemies Kinetic Resistance when equipped with a Kinetic Weapon (i.e. hopefully always).
M4 gives her standard Skill level +1, increasing the damage by around 10%.
M5 - After Tempest deals damage with her Standard Skill or dodge, increases the damage of her next Engulfing Vortex (holding standard skill) by 15%.
This is a nice damage increase, but only average to around a 10% damage increase overall.
If you want efficiency (good damage without massive investment), then M3 is a good stopping point.
Enya wants ATK, Kinetic, and Skill buffs, as well as to debuff the enemies DEF and Kinetic Resistance.
Vidya - Celestial Swan (and other resistance shredders)
Celestial Swan and other resistance shredders (Acacia - Kaguya, etc.) that reduce the enemies resistance help enemies take more damage.
If using Celestial Swan, make sure the other support isn't off element to the main DPS.
Siris - Freefin
Freefin provides strong skill damage buffs, although Tempest can't make use of Freefin's Wavehunt thermal skill damage buff.
Enya's high hit rate means that she can maintain Freefin's buffs indefinitely.
Freefin is off-element to Tempest (Freefin deals Thermal damage)
Marian - Riptide
Enya benefits from Marians Skill DMG and ResPen buffs
Being off-element (Riptide deals Chaos damage) means that Riptide is not a good choice if used with Celestial Swan, but otherwise Marian works well with Tempest.
Eatchel - The Cub
A Blitzing Fangs Eatchel provides a nice ATK boost, as well as her usual passive healing.
Given that Tempest needs to be near enemies to deal damage, she can be quite squishy, which Eatchel massively helps with.
Tess - The Magician
Tempests ult is extremely strong, and having Tess gives Tempest the ability to use her ult almost immediately, allowing Tempest a huge amount of burst damage.
Note that Tempest gains buffs after using her standard skill, so don't just ult immediately - use Tempest's standard skill for 2s to buff Tempest before using her ult.
Tess is also off-element to Tempest, so if using Tess alongside Celestial Swan then wait for Tess to stop dealing damage before using Tempest's ult.
This allows Celestial Swan to use Enya's damage to debuff the enemies Kinetic Resistance, rather than using Tess' damage to debuff the enemies Electric Res.
Chenxing - The Observer
Chenxing is a cope [4*] support, but Chenxing's Skill Dmg buff, Standard Skill Dmg buff, and healing are all useful to Tempest.
Chenxing's PBAoE nature means that she pairs quite well with Tempest, as Tempest tends to stay in one place for long periods.
Being a 4* Chenxing isn't as strong as 5* supports like Celestial Swan, but The Observer does pair well with Tempest.
